Reimagining dwarves?
So I've seen a number of proposals for reimagining dwarves beyond the Tolkien-derived stereotype. For example, dwarves as "maggot men of the mountains" a la Norse mythology, or dwarves carved as adult men from living stone, or dwarves as a relative of trolls due to both being earthly elemental beings.
