As part of the nature and magic dichotomy, fantasy roleplaying divides speech into mundane languages and spells which let you talk to animals and inanimate objects. As part of removing the magic/nature divide, languages will become more fantastical and interesting. Here are some examples of new magical languages.
One feature common to these new languages is that they allow you to speak with things you could not otherwise speak to, such as due to language barrier, intelligence, etc.
Shadow: the Shadow Plane's equivalent of Common. Speakers may talk to shadows, both animate and inanimate.
Aquan: the Water Plane's equivalent of Common. Speakers may talk to swimming and marine creatures like fish, marine mammals, crustaceans, marine reptiles, coral, etc.
Auran: the Air Plane's equivalent of Common. Speakers may talk to flying creatures like birds, bats, flying fish, bugs, etc.
Ignan: the Fire Plane's equivalent of Common. Speakers may talk to fires, both animate and inanimate, and creatures which dwell in volcanic and other hellishly hot environments.
Terran: the Earth Plane's equivalent of Common. Speakers may talk to burrowing and sand-swimming creatures, and to stones, both animate and inanimate.
Sylvan: the Wood Plane's equivalent of Common. Speakers may talk to plants, both animate and inanimate, and all manner of woodland creatures.
